In a blog post, Google made the announcement that it has chosen Shell to serve as its 24/7 zero-carbon energy manager in the UK. Google emphasized that this pioneering agreement is set to play a pivotal role in stabilizing the power grid and propelling the UK's energy transition forward. According to Google, by collaborating with Shell and undertaking other clean energy projects, it anticipates reaching a zero-carbon energy usage rate of about 95% for its UK operations by the year 2026.
