Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, recently shared his confidence that the Starship spacecraft will reach a significant milestone next year—it will not only be capable of sending a massive 100-ton payload into orbit but also achieve full reusability. Speaking at the All-In Summit on September 9, Musk elaborated that the upgraded V3 variant of the Starship is slated for a test flight in the coming year. During this flight, both the Super Heavy booster and the second stage of the Starship are anticipated to be successfully recovered and reused. Musk underscored the importance of this achievement, stating that unless an unforeseen major obstacle arises, SpaceX is on track to demonstrate the full reusability of its spacecraft next year. This will involve capturing both the boosters and the spacecraft themselves, enabling the transportation of over 100 tons of cargo to a functional orbit.
