Elon Musk's SpaceX has finalized a deal to purchase 50MHz of wireless spectrum, along with Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) spectrum licenses currently owned by EchoStar. The transaction involves a cash payment of up to $8.5 billion and a stock payment also valued at up to $8.5 billion, bringing the total consideration to approximately $17 billion. This strategic move is set to bolster SpaceX's Starlink satellite network. Furthermore, SpaceX has committed to paying off roughly $2 billion in cash interest on EchoStar's debt by November 2027.
