Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a license to China Unicom for operating satellite mobile communication services. On September 8, China Unicom stated that it would, in accordance with relevant guidance, legally launch services such as direct satellite connection for mobile phones, deepen scenario applications in emergency response, maritime affairs, and communication in remote areas, and enrich communication services and products. In the future, China Unicom will, as required by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, balance development and security, promote the high-quality development of China's satellite communication industry, and contribute to the construction of a cyber power, a space power, and a digital China.
