Jinkong Power has officially announced that its Tashan Phase III 2×1,000 MW coal-fired power project has successfully obtained approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Shanxi Province. Nestled in Yungang District, Datong City, this ambitious endeavor entails the construction of two 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical, air-cooled coal-fired generating units, complete with all necessary ancillary facilities. In a commendable move towards environmental stewardship, the project will also incorporate simultaneous construction of desulfurization and denitrification facilities to minimize emissions.

Designed with an annual coal consumption capacity of 3.689 million tons, the project boasts a substantial static investment of 7.518 billion yuan. In terms of financing, Jinkong Power will self-fund 20% of the capital, demonstrating its commitment to the project. The remaining funds will be secured through bank loans, ensuring a robust financial foundation for the project's successful execution.
