The recently amended Science Popularization Law has elevated the 'Science Popularization Day' to the 'Science Popularization Month,' designating September of every year as the National Science Popularization Month. This September heralds the first legally recognized National Science Popularization Month, characterized by heightened involvement from diverse sectors and a notable surge in science popularization initiatives. Under the theme 'Technology Transforms Lives, Innovation Secures the Future,' the activities span six primary segments, concentrating on cutting-edge technologies, engaging a broad spectrum of participants, demonstrating a dedication to public service, highlighting innovation and demonstration, and blending online and offline experiences seamlessly. Botanical gardens under the Chinese Academy of Sciences nationwide will open their doors to the public, and arrangements will be made for academicians to carry out science popularization efforts in western regions. Throughout the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, the Ministry of Science and Technology will refine science popularization laws and policies to foster the concurrent advancement of science popularization and technological innovation. Presently, science popularization funding, personnel, and venues across the nation have attained a substantial scale, with a diverse array of activities and a promising outlook.
