IATA Reports 5.5% Year-on-Year Growth in Global Air Cargo Demand in July

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), global demand for air cargo, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), surged by 5.5% in July 2025 compared to the same period last year. International demand saw an even more robust increase of 6.0%. Concurrently, air cargo capacity expanded by 3.9% YoY, with international capacity growing by 4.5%.
