The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India has recently issued a notification finalizing a positive anti-dumping decision on T-type elevator and lift guide rails, as well as counterweight guide rails, originating in or imported from China. The proposed measure involves the imposition of anti-dumping duties for a duration of five years, with tax rates varying from 24.11% to 51.87%. These rates are calculated based on the cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) price of the products. The customs codes affected by this ruling are 84313100, 84313910, 84313990, and 73089090.

However, certain types of guide rails, including cold-drawn guide rails, large-size solid guide rails, welded hollow guide rails, and guide rails and accessories that are part of complete lift kits, will be exempted from these taxes. The anti-dumping investigation that led to this ruling was initiated by the Indian company, Savera India Riding Systems Company Private Limited.

The scope of the dumping investigation covers the entire year of 2023, while the injury investigation covers varying time periods, extending from April 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023.
