The summer of 2025 has officially been designated as the hottest on record in the United Kingdom, boasting an average temperature of 16.10°C from June to August. This figure surpasses the long-term average by 1.51°C, shattering the previous record held since 2018. Notably, although extreme heatwaves were absent, the season was marked by frequent warm spells and daily temperatures consistently above the norm. The peak temperature recorded was an impressive 35.8°C on July 1st in Faversham, located in southeast England.
