According to CINNO Research, China's new energy industry investments totaled approximately 1.4 trillion yuan in the first half of 2025, marking a 32.2% year-on-year decrease. Despite this decline, the sector continues to demonstrate robust vitality in technology-related investments. Notably, enthusiasm for investing in cutting-edge areas, such as next-generation battery technology and smart grids, remains unwavering. Wind power and photovoltaic energy, traditionally strong areas, accounted for 40.8% of investments, totaling 560.4 billion yuan, but experienced a 44.4% year-on-year drop, suggesting a market nearing saturation. Specifically, wind power projects received 365.4 billion yuan, while photovoltaic projects garnered 195 billion yuan. Sub-sectors like offshore wind power continue to attract significant interest.
