Caterpillar has cautioned investors that tariffs are anticipated to impose a financial burden of $1.5 billion to $1.8 billion on the company this year, surpassing initial projections made in August. In a filing released on Thursday, the company acknowledged that despite initiating measures to mitigate the effects, the outcome of trade and tariff negotiations remains uncertain. Specifically, the net impact of tariffs is expected to range from $500 million to $600 million in the third quarter and from $1.5 billion to $1.8 billion for the entire year.
