Recently, investors in off-exchange funds have been accelerating their shift into on-exchange Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). Since August, seven funds have undergone transformation into ETF feeder funds, encompassing index funds, index-enhanced funds, and Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor (QDII) funds. Notably, some products have completed this transformation within just three months of their establishment. Industry experts highlight that as the ETF market surpassed RMB 5 trillion in scale, competition within the industry has intensified. The transformation of off-exchange funds into ETF feeder funds serves a dual purpose: it not only bolsters the scale of ETFs and enhances product competitiveness but also attracts more off-exchange funds into the market, thereby expanding the ETF customer base.
