The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the "Guiding Opinions on Streamlining Business Entry and Accelerating the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry." The document outlines plans to explore and establish innovative satellite communication services, broaden access for private enterprises, and foster the utilization of both high and low orbit satellite resources. By 2030, the aim is to cultivate over ten million satellite communication users. Furthermore, the opinion emphasizes support for low-orbit satellite internet development, encourages applications like direct satellite connectivity for mobile phones, and expands satellite communication's role in emergency communications, digital inclusion, industry integration, and other domains. Additionally, it will expedite research and development of key core technologies, establish an open and collaborative standard system, and refine frequency and orbit resource management to propel the industry towards high-quality growth.
