Over the course of nine years, the Ant Forest initiative has successfully planted an impressive 619 million trees across 13 provinces in China, spanning an area of 6.55 million mu. Notably, over 90% of these trees are situated within the heart of the Three-North Shelterbelt Forest Program, playing a pivotal role in combating desertification. The project has committed to donations totaling 4.566 billion yuan, with actual expenditures amounting to 3.386 billion yuan. Notably, 719 million yuan of this has been allocated to compensate local cultivators and maintainers for their labor. Furthermore, Ant Forest has ventured into new territories, including biodiversity conservation and marine ecological protection, supporting ecological development in 25 provinces nationwide.
