China has triumphantly inaugurated the world's first 660MW ultra-supercritical double-arch coal-fired power generating unit, marking a landmark achievement in the realm of efficient and clean coal power technology. This innovative unit employs the "coal power + new energy" model, addressing the technical hurdles associated with the efficient and clean combustion of anthracite. Additionally, it leverages coalbed methane for start-stop operations and combustion support, thereby substantially diminishing emissions. The project is projected to yield annual savings of over 72 million yuan in electricity and coal costs, fostering the advancement of the energy structure in southwest China.
