Apple has leveled accusations against Dr. Chen Shi, a former architect of the Apple Watch sensor system, for allegedly stealing trade secrets pertaining to the Apple Watch prior to his joining OPPO. It is claimed that Chen Shi downloaded 63 confidential documents from Apple's internal system before his departure and subsequently transferred them to a USB drive. Furthermore, Apple contends that Chen Shi researched methods to erase data from a MacBook and misrepresented the reasons for his resignation, falsely citing personal and family factors. In response, OPPO has denied the allegations, affirming that they have uncovered no evidence to substantiate the claims regarding Chen Shi's conduct during his tenure at OPPO. Currently, Apple has initiated legal proceedings in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, with the case undergoing further examination.
