Qingdao, Shandong Province, has witnessed the groundbreaking launch of the world's first super-zero carbon building. Standing at 117 meters tall with 23 floors, this landmark structure achieves a groundbreaking 100% green energy substitution, leveraging photovoltaic power generation, echelon energy storage batteries, and electric vehicle discharging. This represents a significant leap forward in China's zero-carbon building landscape. The building's east, west, and south facades are adorned with photovoltaic glass curtain walls, directly supplying direct current power, thereby eliminating conversion losses and annually reducing carbon emissions by approximately 500 tons. At its base, 14 repurposed automotive power batteries act as a storage system, retaining excess electricity for peak usage times.
