On August 21, GOVYAirJet, a composite-wing flying car independently developed by Guangzhou Automobile Highland, achieved a pivotal milestone by securing a special flight permit for civil unmanned aerial vehicles from the Civil Aviation Administration of China's Central and Southern Region. This distinction makes GOVYAirJet the first full-scale composite-wing flying car in the Greater Bay Area to receive such an honor, signifying substantial advancements in Guangzhou Automobile Highland's efforts towards airworthiness certification and commercialization of flying cars. Notably, GOVYAirJet has successfully completed over 200 flight tests.
