The Baltic Dry Index experienced a continued decline on Wednesday, sinking to 1,927 points—its lowest level since August 5. This marked the third consecutive day of falls. Notably, the capesize freight index plummeted by 5.2%, reaching 2,867 points, with daily earnings decreasing by $1,294. In contrast, the Panamax and Supramax freight indices witnessed modest gains of 1.7% and 1.4%, respectively.
