In the past three years, Elon Musk's Starlink service has been steadily gaining ground in the in-flight Wi-Fi market, securing contracts with several prominent airlines such as Air France, Qatar Airways, and United Airlines. On Wednesday, the Alaska Air Group announced its intention to install the Starlink system in the coming year, aiming to offer high-speed internet services to its passengers in the air. Additionally, Virgin Atlantic reached an agreement earlier in July to adopt SpaceX's satellite network, further expanding Starlink's reach. Rumors suggest that British Airways might soon follow suit, joining this elite group of airlines leveraging Starlink technology.
