The Beijing Consumer Association has introduced the "Beijing Shared Power Bank Industry Self-Discipline Convention," aiming to standardize the burgeoning shared power bank sector. The convention outlines nine key initiatives, emphasizing transparency in pricing, seamless borrowing and return processes, and prompt complaint resolution. These include clearly displaying charging rules, refining pricing structures, eliminating unfair standard clauses, maintaining high battery capacity for lending units, managing vacancy rates effectively, instituting a suspension and free charging mechanism, enhancing customer service, establishing regular maintenance and anomaly recovery protocols, and swiftly addressing consumer grievances. To date, eight leading companies, such as Monster, Meituan, and JieDian, which collectively account for 95% of the city's operating locations, have signed the convention.
