On August 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Beijing Water Authority, in collaboration with the Beijing Municipal Meteorological Bureau, jointly issued a blue alert for potential mountain torrent disasters. Forecasts indicate a heightened risk of such disasters in Miyun and Huairou districts beginning at 12:00 PM, with a possibility of similar events occurring in Yanqing, Pinggu, and Changping districts. The public is strongly advised to avoid areas prone to mountain torrents and to suspend any outdoor activities involving mountains and water bodies to mitigate the risk of these hazards.
