The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration, has embarked on the process of compiling the list of industrial machine tool enterprises qualified for the 2025 Value-Added Tax (VAT) additional deduction policy. Local industrial and information technology departments are mandated to complete their initial assessment and recommendation by September 15th. This will be followed by a third-party review facilitated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The definitive list will then be jointly ratified by the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration. Enterprises can expect to receive the outcome of their applications after October 31st. Companies included in the list will be eligible for policy benefits commencing from January 1st, 2025, whereas those not consistently included will cease to receive these benefits as of October 31st of the same year.
