Recently, a host of prominent energy storage companies have intensified their efforts in conducting cabin burn tests, aiming to elevate product safety standards. Renowned firms like Envision AESC, Canadian Solar, and Sungrow have unveiled their test results, with a cumulative tally of at least 11 companies having successfully completed large-scale fire tests. These tests, while financially demanding—each costing upwards of tens of millions of yuan—are deemed pivotal in showcasing a company's technological prowess and enhancing its market competitiveness. Notably, some overseas clients have made it a prerequisite for suppliers to provide evidence of such testing, albeit it is not yet mandatory in China. Industry experts express concern that the substantial cost of these tests might impede the further growth of the domestic energy storage sector.
