Effective immediately, the "Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification: Mobile Power Supplies, Lithium-ion Batteries, and Battery Packs (Trial)" formulated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) is officially in force. Under these new regulations, all power banks, lithium-ion batteries, and related products must possess 3C certification to be eligible for production, import, and sale. Certification bodies are mandated to develop detailed implementation guidelines in line with these regulations and submit them to the CNCA for record-keeping purposes. Existing valid 3C certification certificates remain in use, and the transition to the new requirements will occur seamlessly through a natural transition process.
