Microsoft has introduced a groundbreaking feature in Excel, powered by Copilot: "Explain Formula". This innovative tool enables users to instantly view comprehensive descriptions of formulas within their cells, eliminating the need to navigate away from their current worksheet. To utilize this feature, users simply click on the Copilot icon next to a cell and select "Explain This Formula". Copilot then provides contextually relevant explanations tailored to the user's current workflow, presenting both step-by-step breakdowns and overall summaries. The explanations are designed to be displayed inline for seamless integration, but if the chat panel is already open, they will appear there instead. This feature is currently being rolled out to Windows and web-based Excel users, and Microsoft invites feedback through the dedicated feedback button to enhance the user experience further.
