During his visit to Pennsylvania, US President Trump hailed the newly announced investment of over $92 billion by American companies in artificial intelligence (AI) and energy infrastructure projects, underscoring his commitment to bolstering the nation's competitiveness in the realm of AI. Notably, Blackstone has pledged to invest more than $25 billion in new data centers and energy infrastructure. Its subsidiary, QTS, has already acquired development land in northeastern Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Blackstone has partnered with PPL Corporation to form a joint venture aimed at constructing and operating gas-fired power plants, thereby addressing the substantial power requirements of these data centers.
