Alibaba Cloud Establishes First AI Global Competency Center and Adds New Data Centers in Malaysia and Philippines

Alibaba Cloud has announced the expansion of its global infrastructure with the addition of new data centers in Malaysia and the Philippines, bringing the total to 29 regions and 90 availability zones. The third availability zone in Malaysia is now operational, while the second availability zone in the Philippines is set to launch in October to cater to the surging overseas demand for cloud computing and AI services. Concurrently, Alibaba Cloud will establish its inaugural AI Global Competency Center, partnering with over 1,000 enterprises to develop industry-specific AI demonstration projects and collaborating with more than 120 universities worldwide to nurture 100,000 AI professionals annually.
