During the first five months of 2025, China's software industry generated a total revenue of 5.5788 trillion yuan, registering an 11.2% increase compared to the same period last year. The overall profit amounted to 672.1 billion yuan, a 12.8% year-on-year rise. Software exports also exhibited growth, achieving a 3.3% increase. Notably, revenue from information technology services led the pack, accounting for 68.3% of total revenue with 3.8096 trillion yuan. Cloud computing and big data services stood out, raking in 585.5 billion yuan, a 11.2% year-on-year increase. Integrated circuit design revenue also saw a robust growth rate of 15.2%, reaching 151.6 billion yuan. Furthermore, e-commerce platform technology services contributed 435.5 billion yuan to the total revenue, up 7.8% year-on-year.
