Shanghai Lingang has embarked on the groundbreaking project of building the world's first offshore wind-powered integrated submarine data center, featuring a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan and a capacity of 24 megawatts, executed in two phases. Phase one boasts a capacity of 2.3 megawatts, a meticulously designed PUE value below 1.15, and a green power supply rate surpassing 90%. This ambitious initiative encompasses the demolition and reconstruction of the onshore centralized control center, the installation of innovative vertical data pods, and the deployment of submarine cables, thereby propelling Shanghai's computing infrastructure towards a greener, low-carbon future.
