OpenAI has inked a deal with Google to leverage cloud AI computing power, addressing the soaring demand for computational resources in its AI services. This collaboration dispels the common perception that the two tech giants are mere rivals. Previously, OpenAI had heavily relied on Microsoft's Azure cloud services. As a prominent player in the AI sphere, Google's partnership with OpenAI not only aids the latter in reducing its reliance on Microsoft for computational needs but also broadens the deployment scope of Google's AI-specific ASIC solution, the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).
