Amazon has unveiled its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, showcasing net sales of $155.67 billion, marking an 8.6% increase year-over-year, and net income of $17.127 billion, reflecting a significant 64% year-over-year jump. Within these figures, the AWS cloud business revenue expanded by 17% to hit $29.27 billion, narrowly missing analysts' projections of $29.42 billion. Despite this slight miss, AWS continues to reign as the world's largest cloud infrastructure provider, contributing approximately 19% to Amazon's overall revenue. In contrast, Microsoft's Azure cloud business surpassed expectations, while Google Cloud's revenue fell slightly short. This marks the third consecutive quarter where AWS has witnessed a deceleration in its growth rates.
