In March, South Korea's overall ICT industry exports witnessed a robust 9.4% year-on-year increase, amounting to $205.8 billion. Notably, semiconductor exports soared by 11.8%, primarily fueled by heightened demand for memory semiconductors and strategic inventory build-ups by companies anticipating US tariffs. Additionally, exports of products like displays, mobile phones, and computers exhibited positive growth. Nevertheless, exports to China have seen a five-month consecutive decline, and those to the European Union also declined on a year-on-year basis. As demand revives and inventories diminish, export conditions are anticipated to improve.
