Microsoft has announced changes to its Microsoft 365 Education offerings, discontinuing the Office 365 A1 subscription and its associated student-use benefits, as well as free Exchange Online alumni mailboxes. The existing 100TB base of free shared storage for educational institutions will also be eliminated, with capacity to be determined primarily by the number of paid faculty and student licenses.
