On November 6, according to foreign media reports, ING plans to sell a data center loan portfolio totaling approximately $500 million in a single transaction and is seeking buyers for 12 of the loans through a competitive bidding process. Sources familiar with the matter said the portfolio includes a $25 million loan tied to a large data center in New Mexico, USA, which is part of the "Stargate" AI infrastructure project backed by OpenAI, SoftBank Group, and Oracle. The portfolio also includes debt from data center operators such as Vantage Data Centers and CyrusOne. The sale comes amid a broader selloff affecting chipmakers and "neocloud" companies.
