Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick stated that capital expenditure in the AI sector could reach $10 trillion to $15 trillion over the next decade. He estimates that over the next 7 to 12 years, large tech hyperscale cloud service providers may invest $800 billion to $1 trillion annually in data centers and computing power. Although Wall Street questions whether such massive cloud computing spending can be profitable in the near term, Pick believes the related investment is still in its early stages and will deliver lasting returns in the long run. He estimates that productivity gains could boost U.S. real GDP growth by 50 to 70 basis points per year.
