Nov 2 – The Port Authority of Thailand is studying the further expansion of Laem Chabang Port. As Thailand's largest deep-water port, located about 120 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, it serves as a key stop for commodity transportation in the country's industrial heartland and a core hub of the Eastern Economic Corridor. The port needs to cope with growing trade volumes in goods such as automobiles, electronic products, and petrochemical products. Through the economic corridor, Thailand has attracted investment in electric vehicles, electronics, data centers, and other advanced manufacturing. Driven by global demand for electronic components and machinery related to artificial intelligence and data centers, Thailand's export and import growth both exceeded expectations in September.
