According to Bloomberg, Alibaba Group has won a ruling in a U.S. court, successfully challenging the U.S. Department of Defense's decision to include it on a blacklist of 'Chinese military-affiliated companies.' On Monday local time, a federal judge in San Jose, California, ruled that the Trump administration must halt the implementation of a ban that would have prohibited the Pentagon from conducting business with any company engaging in 'lobbying activities' for Alibaba. Previously, on June 8, the U.S. Department of Defense updated its 'List of Chinese Military Companies,' including Alibaba and other Chinese enterprises. Alibaba immediately expressed strong opposition, emphasizing that it is not a Chinese military enterprise and has not participated in any military-civilian integration strategy.
