The Finnish Licensing and Supervision Authority (LVV) is investigating the preliminary construction and logging activities of Google's local data center project. On September 18, the agency issued notices to Muhos Town, Kajaani City, and the project company Tuike Finland Oy, requesting explanations regarding the project's permitting, land use planning, and preliminary preparations. According to public information cited by the regulatory agency, approximately 300 hectares of forest have been cleared at the site of the Muhos project, an area equivalent to about 420 football fields.
