As artificial intelligence company Anthropic advances its IPO plans, relevant documents reviewed by Reuters reveal that Anthropic has signed a computing power procurement agreement with SpaceX worth up to $84.5 billion. Under the agreement, Anthropic will pay substantial fees to SpaceX over the coming years to access AI computing capabilities provided by its data centers. The agreement covers computing resources from two data centers, Colossus 1 and Colossus 2, with Anthropic required to pay $1.25 billion per month to SpaceX until May 2029. The agreement also stipulates that Anthropic can terminate the partnership with just 90 days' notice. Additionally, Anthropic has signed a $11.6 billion CPU computing power procurement agreement with Akamai and plans to invest at least $518 billion over the next decade to build its own AI infrastructure.
