Akamai recently disclosed that Anthropic intends to allocate a staggering $11.6 billion towards enhancing its cloud infrastructure over the forthcoming seven-year period. This investment eclipses the previously reported $1.8 billion cooperation pact from May by more than sixfold. Nevertheless, this procurement pledge is not set in stone. As per the securities filings submitted by Akamai, the ongoing collaboration is contingent upon Akamai's ability to fulfill specific delivery and service availability benchmarks. Moreover, both entities reserve the right to terminate the agreement under defined circumstances.
