An official from the National Bureau of Statistics provided insights into the profit performance of industrial enterprises for the period spanning January to August 2026. The statistics reveal a notable 54.7% year-on-year increase in profits for high-tech manufacturing sectors above a designated scale, outpacing the overall industrial enterprise profit growth by 39 percentage points.
Fueled by the rapid expansion of computing infrastructure, the fiber optic manufacturing industry witnessed a staggering 5.3-fold surge in profits, while the optical cable manufacturing sector saw its profits double. Concurrently, related industries, such as high-performance server production, also experienced varying degrees of profit growth.
Moreover, the instrumentation and new medical instrumentation manufacturing industries demonstrated accelerated development. Specifically, profits in the navigation, surveying, mapping, meteorology, and marine-specific instrumentation manufacturing sectors soared by 2.2 times, while the dental equipment and apparatus manufacturing industry recorded a 70.2% profit increase.
