On September 21, Coherent recently announced the expansion of its Pluggable Optical Line System (POLS) product line, introducing a compact QSFP-packaged optical line system with full C-band high-power variable gain amplification capabilities. Designed specifically for next-generation 800G ZR/ZR+ digital coherent optical modules, this product supports up to 32 DWDM wavelengths per fiber pair, capable of carrying up to 25.6Tbps of AI data center traffic over links ranging from 2km to 200km.
