On September 20th, reports surfaced indicating that the Zhipu MaaS Platform had declared, on the evening of the same day, its intention to implement a data content non-retention mechanism. This move is aimed at bolstering data privacy safeguards for both enterprise and developer users. Zhipu clarified that the introduction of this feature does not imply a blanket policy of zero data retention across all scenarios. Specifically, for functionalities like BatchAPI and FileAPI, which necessitate the long-term storage of tasks or files on the platform, as well as in situations where legal and regulatory obligations or investigations into potential infractions are mandated, the platform may retain pertinent data for a period of 30 days or longer, as dictated by the circumstances.
