The fronthaul network is a critical infrastructure that connects wireless access to optical fiber networks and carries massive amounts of data. Future 6G fronthaul networks will connect a large number of wireless nodes while simultaneously supporting functions such as high-speed communication, precise positioning, and environmental sensing. To achieve collaborative operation among these dispersed nodes, the primary task is to ensure high-level synchronization of time and frequency. Additionally, as communication rates increase, the amount of data that high-speed receivers need to process surges, leading to growing computational and power consumption pressures from traditional multiple sampling and complex digital signal processing methods.
