This March, Amazon's AWS data centers located in the UAE and Bahrain fell victim to attacks from Iranian drones and missiles, causing significant service disruptions. In response, Amazon promptly advised affected customers to transition their operations to other operational data centers. Now, nearly six months on, Amazon has issued an update revealing that data stored in certain data centers across Bahrain and the UAE remains irretrievable. Furthermore, the company anticipates providing an update on the recovery progress of the Bahrain facility in early 2027.
