On September 10 (local time), Bret Johnsen, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SpaceX, revealed that the company inked a fresh contract for AI computing hosting services in early September. This new deal is anticipated to yield a substantial monthly revenue of around $1.1 billion, commencing on December 1. This translates to an annualized revenue of approximately $13.3 billion. SpaceX remains confident in its ability to achieve its ambitious target of $100 billion in annualized revenue by the year's end.

Recently, SpaceX has clinched numerous significant computing contracts and entered into agreements with several companies. However, it's worth noting that the revenue from most of these contracts has yet to be fully secured. In the realm of ground-based computing, SpaceX has ambitious plans to deploy over 2 gigawatts (GW) of capacity by the end of this year, with further expansion to a range of 5GW to 10GW projected for next year.

Turning to space-based computing, the company is gearing up to launch its inaugural batch of orbital computing satellites next year, with plans to scale up operations around 2028. Later this month, the 14th flight of the Starship will mark a historic milestone as SpaceX's first revenue-generating mission. The company aims to successfully recover both the first and second-stage boosters of the Starship later this year.

In the field of direct satellite-to-phone connectivity, SpaceX is set to embark on a new era with the launch of the next generation of satellites in 2027. These satellites will pave the way for providing full-fledged 5G-quality services starting in the first half of 2028.
