On September 10, the construction of China's first International Exchange Center for Earth System Data was initiated in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone. The China Meteorological Administration, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the Hengqin Cooperation Zone signed a tripartite agreement for joint construction, planning to complete the center in Hengqin with three years of construction and three years of operation. This initiative aims to cultivate an ecosystem for data development and utilization, build a bridge for cooperation, create an open platform, promote the export of data products and services, form a unified market for earth system data elements in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, support the digital economy in the cooperation zone and the diversified development of Macao's economy, and advance global data governance and digital development.
