On September 9, news emerged that the “Shaoguan City’s Blueprint for Constructing the ‘Bay Area Computing Valley’ and Fostering High-Quality Growth in the Computing Power Sector (Public Consultation Draft)” is now open for public feedback. The blueprint outlines Shaoguan’s ambition to evolve into the “Bay Area Computing Valley,” bolstering the development of the Greater Bay Area. By attracting and establishing large-scale and mega data centers, along with intelligent computing hubs, the city aims to cater to the intelligent computing needs of local and regional industries, thereby expanding its computing power infrastructure and capabilities. It is projected that by 2030, Shaoguan will house over 1 million standard server racks and boast an intelligent computing capacity surpassing 750,000 PFLOPS, cementing its position as a pivotal city for computing power support within the Greater Bay Area.
