On September 8th, the Shanghai Municipal Government and China Telecom inked a strategic cooperation pact aimed at advancing initiatives during Shanghai's '15th Five-Year Plan' phase. Chen Jining, the Municipal Party Committee Secretary, along with Zhu Zhongming, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, held a meeting with a delegation helmed by Ke Ruiwen, Chairman of China Telecom Group, and Liu Guiqing, the General Manager. They were present to witness the formal signing of this pivotal agreement.

As per the terms of the agreement, both entities are set to harness their unique strengths to forge a robust, all-encompassing strategic cooperative alliance. Their collaborative efforts will focus on crafting the 'Smart Cloud Shanghai' urban informatization service brand, erecting cutting-edge, globally competitive new-type information infrastructure, fostering pioneering technological innovations, propelling the development of a modern industrial system through digital technologies, elevating the intelligence quotient of governance in mega-cities, and ultimately bolstering Shanghai's quest to emerge as a world-renowned socialist modern international metropolis with global clout.
